I don’t know why people are always so surprised, Moffat may have some flaws, but he’s brilliant when it comes to things like this.
I just really love this scene because look at Deans face. Look at him when he introduces Sam, that look? Its pride. He wants his father to see the amazing brother than he raised, on his own for the most part. Show his father that, even if he wasnt there for him, or Sam, that Dean took care of his little brother Sammy. And that he is still with Sam, and he is still there to look after him. Even if John doesnt know it in this scene, Dean is showing his father that Sam is safe and alive and well because of Dean, and no one else.
IS A CHARACTER EVER SO ADORABLE THAT YOU FEEL LIKE THROWING A COMPLETE FIT AND FLIPPING TABLES AND THROWING THINGS AND SCREAMING BECAUSE YOU CAN’T HANDLE ALL THE CUTE
